Jenna and Taylor are the parents to two precious little girls, Emily and Avery, and what a beautiful little family they are! Jenna asked me to forget anything traditional for her family shoot because these four are anything but traditional! I loved getting creative and making photos that are indie, offbeat, and beautiful. This picture cracks me up! They are just munchin’ on their watermelon and giving me a skeptical look and it’s so cute!

It feels like yesterday I was doing Lexi’s 8 month photos… and now she’s a year old?! How do babies always do this to us, grow up within the blink of an eye? Our shoot was hot, humid, and mosquito filled (plus Lexi wanted to run and explore the whole time!) but we created some absolutely fabulous photos anyway. Little miss Lexi is the apple of mommy and daddy’s eye and you can tell she is the absolute center of their world!

Last week I met Justin and his baby brother Oliver! These boys are so cute! Justin is newly turned 3 and full of energy and the need to climb on things. Oliver is a month and so sweet! He can sleep through anything I think. Their mommy is so patient and easy going, and all of this combined made the shoot a complete success! Enjoy these photos everyone!

I met Elizabeth and Calvin and their mommy for a late summer shoot. There’s such a prettiness to late summer and I’m not sure what it is. The sunlight? The way grass has soaked up the sun and flowers have bloomed their little hearts out? Either way, these two cuties had fun playing and exploring the field as miss Katie followed. We got some gorgeous pictures that are all about the fun of childhood. Oh, and mommy joined in for some fun family portraits, too!
