Just Married! Samantha + Greg, August 21, 2010 | For Kiss the Bride Atlanta | Marietta Wedding Photographer

For Kiss The Bride. This is a unique wedding. “Why’s that?” you may ask. “Was it the flowers? The decorations? The style of the wedding?” Well, the most unique thing about this wedding was that Samantha and Greg got married in the pouring rain! They had no plan “B” and just went with it as the rain started pouring down in the middle of their ceremony. Their smiles and laughter as the rain drenched everyone was so crazy cool! I never thought I’d get to do a rain wedding! Even though it was so incredible, I was extremely glad we did the “first look” and got all the important shots (the lovebirds together, the bridal party, etc) done before everyone’s makeup and hair got a little messed up. But despite the downpour, it was about 30 minutes and everyone was dried off and in good spirits. What a night! Without more ado, here are pictures of the beautiful Samantha, her handsome man Greg, and their amazing love-filled day.

EDIT: I forgot one of the most important parts! I would NEVER stand out in the rain taking photos with my poor camera getting drenched/ruined! The way I got these photos? I always have umbrellas in my car because I’m a worrywart and in-the-event-of-a-disaster kind of person. Grabbed a wedding guest by the name of Patrick (oh noble hero of mine!) and he stood with me for the whole wedding, keeping me and the camera dry! It was definitely challenging but also so incredibly beautiful/romantic. Yay! Photogs, my advice is always bring umbrellas. PERIOD! Also, huge kudos and shoutout to Jade of Lovelee Affairs for being such an amazing coordinator and helping everyone out with the unexpected rainshowers!

Just Married! Amanda + Carl, August 14, 2010 | Helen GA DeNormandy House Wedding Photographer

Amanda and Carl’s wedding was beautiful, sweet, and amazing. They were married at the beautifully scenic DeNormandy House as the sun broke out from behind the clouds. Amanda was a stunning bride and I LOVED her hair so much! It was my honor and joy to be part of their wedding day, and they made it so easy with their naturalness in front of the camera. I have so many more fun/cool/great shots but the picks below will have to do for now! Enjoy everyone!

Just Married! Heather + Ryan, August 7, 2010 | Statham/Winder GA Wedding Photography

For Candice Holcomb Photography. Heather and Ryan were married at the beautiful John Oliver Michael House last weekend. It was a very serene and peaceful wedding and I know these two are going to do very well in their new life as Mr & Mrs. I’m posting just a few of my favorites from the day below! Enjoy.

Just Married! Greg & Susan, July 20th 2010 | Ila/Comer Georgia Wedding Photography

I’ve known Greg for a few years because he used to lead worship at the church where I keep nursery on Sundays (what can I say, I love babies!). He contacted me maybe a month ago and asked if I could shoot his western weekday wedding! I said “of course” and I’m so glad it worked out! I loved working with the horses, plus the western theme of the wedding was really unique and fun. Susan was one of the most giddy and beaming brides I’ve ever seen. She kept skipping around and singing “I’m getting maaaarried!” at the top of her lungs! It was fun for sure and I am so excited to share these images with the world. Enjoy everyone, and congrats to Susan and Greg!
