Engaged! Julie + Cody, Clarkesville GA engagement session

Julie and Cody’s engagement session was windy and wonderful… they are sweet and playful together, and very ready for their wedding (which is next month! Yay!). We had fun making these photos as I’m sure you’ll be able to tell. I am so looking forward to their beautiful Spring wedding! Enjoy the preview guys…

Just Married! Holly + Jeff, February 25 2012 // Clarkesville First Methodist & Cornelia Community House wedding

Although the day was super windy and cold, the warmth of these two and their love for each other and Jesus warmed the day. Holly and Jeff are two pretty amazing people who are headed to Tanzania to live and work translating the Bible and sharing the gospel. Pretty cool huh? Their wedding day was a reflection of their devotion to Christ and their love of fun, laughter, and good friends. Despite the challenges of the weather we were able to brave the chill for some beautiful afternoon portraits! I loved being part of the day and seeing these two exchange their vows. Here is just a glancing preview of all their photographs from the day!

Grandma’s place

I had the opportunity to visit my grandmother in Saint Augustine Florida last week and being back at her place brought back so many memories. Many people associate their grandmothers with knitting, cookies, and very frilly decor. But when I think of my grandmother I think of Spain, books, and scholarship. My grandmother is an author, historian, and archaeologist and everything about her home breathes that fact. As long as I can remember, the house has been the same. Same artwork on the walls, same furniture, same kitchen scissors. In my generation, the trend is to change and change often, so I find it really refreshing to be in a place that is not influenced by what’s trending now, but what my grandmother lives and loves. Enjoy the photos. They were created with love and I think it shows…
