I never dreamed I would be a wedding photographer—growing up I probably attended one or two weddings, if that! But in 2008 that changed and somehow I stumbled onto what I believe is my calling. I love the romance, beauty, and fun of weddings; I love meeting couples and being with them as they step into the next chapter of their new life together. I feel so blessed and honored to be the one who helps them remember their big day forever!
From my complimentary engagement session (essential for learning how each other works when a camera is involved!) to the consultation at your venue, I believe in establishing a working relationship with my clients. When I show up on your wedding day to begin photography, you should know who I am, how I work, and that I am completely committed to creating images you will treasure for years to come.
I’d love to hear about your plans for your big day and schedule a consultation! To read reviews from brides I’ve worked with, please visit my WeddingWire.com website.

Why should I hire a professional photographer instead of getting my friend/brother/uncle to take pictures?
A professional photographer’s job is to document your day in the best and most beautiful way possible so that you’ll be able to relive it every time you look at your pictures. Hiring me as your wedding photographer gives you the security of not having to worry about bad pictures, special moments that were missed, batteries running out, equipment failing, etc. I have photographed over fifty weddings on my own to date and have the knowledge and skill to create outstanding photographs no matter the light/weather/venue/etc!
How do I choose the right photographer for my wedding?
Picking the right photographer is so important! It’s not just about going down a list of photographers and picking one because of his or her pricing. You should LOVE the images in your photographer’s portfolio and identify with the photographer’s unique style and eye. Pick a photographer who loves shooting your kind of wedding. It’s also very important to “click” with your photographer and be confident he/she can bring out the best in you and your fiance and your unique relationship.
How do you conduct yourself at weddings? What is your approach?
I am a very easy going, fun-loving person and this spills over into my professional life. I take my art very seriously, but myself… not so much!I like a good mixture of the following: photojournalistic, carefully posed to look unposed, and real expressions/moments. There are times I’ll tell you “I’m not here right now, keep doing what you’re doing!” and there are times when I will carefully instruct and show you what to do. I keep things relaxed and fun as possible, yet maintain efficiency. The most important thing is to just be at ease and be yourself, which will be easy after our engagement session together!
What do you call your style of photography?
Modern, fine art inspired lifestyle photography with a twist of vintage goodness, and a big scoop of my clients’ personalities and vision. Oh, and a dollop of beautiful on top!
How much editing do you do to photos?
Each and every final photograph is edited. I remove blemishes and imperfections on the bride and groom and make sure the color is gorgeous. I like to put crisp, vibrant edits on my photos and sometimes vintage hazes. I never want photos to look overprocessed or underprocessed… instead I want them to look finished and fresh.
How long have you been doing this? How many weddings have you shot?
I ventured into wedding photography in 2009 and have photographed over 50 weddings since then.
How can we book you for our wedding?
To book me and retain my services for your wedding day, a deposit is required with the signed and completed contract.
What camera do you shoot with?
I shoot two Canon 50D cameras with a variety of different lenses.
Do you travel?
Yes, I am currently available for national destination weddings. I have several policies on travel which depend on the mileage and travel time (we can discuss this during our consult!). For the most part I photograph weddings in the North East Georgia area—including Gainesville, Cleveland, Dahlonega, Cornelia, Clarkesville, Clayton, Toccoa, and Helen.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
No, one wedding per weekend.
Do you have liability insurance?
